See yourself in a positive light! Sitting on the edge of my bed looking at a tear-stained photo of my family, I could recollect all of my internal struggles with my weight, body image, and food. Sadly, I could not recollect anything else about that day. I was physically present but mentally and emotionally absent from my life. As a Women’s Weight Loss and Wellness Coach people look at me and think I have it all together. “It is easy for her,” they say! Surprisingly, that statement could not be further form the truth.
I struggled with my weight and body image for years. My weight would fluctuate up and down, at times dramatically. Even when I was doing everything I was supposed to! Sadly people’s opinion of me fluctuated based on my appearance as well. I wanted to easily maintain the weight I lost so I could look and feel amazing:
~ Feeling guilty every-time I ate real food
~ Spending an unending number of hours at the gym...
~ Feeling comfortable and confident in my body
~ Eating foods that I loved with NO GUILT
~ Treating myself compassionately
At the time I did not have an expert coach to speak with or receive guidance from. So, I embarked on a long tedious trial and error process that involved hours of studying female anatomy, physical fitness training, and nutrition as it all relates to the female body. Through this process, I found 4 critical shifts that need to take place in order to look and feel amazing....with all of the conditions I attached to it. Thanks to those 4 shifts I can wake up energized and excited about my day. I don’t avoid mirrors and cameras anymore. I eat food..guilt free...yay me! Do you want to know the best part? I don’t beat myself up anymore.
A lot of people won’t understand what that last part means. BUT if you have ever struggled with your weight and body image...I know you are catching my drift.
Now I am privileged to coach my clients so they can achieve permanent weight loss and have vibrant health so they don’t have to suffer from debilitating health conditions, chronic pain, or mental/emotional stress any longer. When people ask me ‘ what is it that you really do?’ Well...I usher women from a stressful life of pain to a joyful life filled with confidence and good health.
I founded Positively Well so I can coach other women to an improved state of health and well-being, specific to them. I want to empower women to see themselves in a positive light, while encouraging them to extend the same compassion that they extend to others, to themselves.
